Did you know your votes helped to boost Theater Hopper to number 26 on the Top 150 list at Top Web Comics? It’s like someone just handed me a big, heaping helping of awesome! It’s like God is rubbing my tummy! Thank you!
Now… Time to mobilize! Crush the puny crew of No Pants Tuesday! Feast on the blood of Briworld! Give me more votes so that I may decimate my enemies!
Wow. Who knew participating with the TWC could make me such a competitive ass-face?
Just kidding, guys. You know I love ‘ya. And that’s why I linked to ‘ya! Everyone check out their strips and send them a little vote love from me!

“I’ve got the Dungeon Master’s Guide / I’ve got a 12-sided die / I’ve got Kitty Pryde / and Nightcrawler too / Waiting there for me / Yes I do, I do” Weezer
So X-men 2 was pretty cool. My faith in comic book movies is restored. I really didn’t think the first movie was all that great, but I definitely liked this one. Though still slow in places due to multiple storyline, the good parts of this movie definitely made me forget about that.
Nightcrawler was awesome. The “invincible” Alan Cumming proved his worth. With the little bit I know about his character, plus Iceman’s developing story, I am compelled to go stand in line for X-3. Well as long as they play The Matrix Reloaded for me whilst I wait.
The weekend I also saw The Pianist. It was absolutely great. I am glad that Adrien Brody won an Oscar for it. It was well deserved.

For those of you who never got the opportunity to fully appreciate BriWorld, it’s a damn shame, because that ship has sailed.
BriWorld ends it’s run today. You need to check it out and tell them I sentcha. It’s a bloody great comic.
The only thing that gets me through the day is knowing that Brian Carroll will be gracing us with a new comic called Instant Classic very, very soon.

I just wanted to remind everyone that in order to achieve complete world domination, I need you to vote for Theater Hopper every day.
So far we’ve been hovering around number 15 to 17 on the list – AND THAT’S NOT BAD! – but just once I’d like to crack the top 10. Y’know. Just to know what it feels like.
Oh, and if you come here at all, chances are you already visit Nothing Nice to Say. But you should ESPECIALLY check it out before tomorrow. I put together a little guest strip for Mitch and he was kind enough to post it. You can expect it placed on the Bonus Materials page sometime in the near future.

I’m becoming concerned that Theater Hopper may be getting a little too big for it’s britches. I checked my server statistics for April, and we’re pressing up against 12GB in bandwith transfer. My account is only alotted 15GB.
A lot of the drain is due to the information that appears on the left and right hand side of the comic. Every time a page is called, it’s reloading that information. And while the images there are less than 1k in size, after 300,000 reloads, it all adds up.
I’m beginning to think the site will need to undergo a redesign soon. I’m reluctant to do it because I’ve yet to re-enter all of the blogs from when we converted to PHP about a month ago.
If anyone out there is proficient in web design or perhaps has some database knowledge, please contact me. If you have any tips or tricks to help me reduce bandwidth consumption. I am eager to hear those as well.

Yes! I just cast the vote that put us at #15 on TWC. That’s just ahead of NPT! Rock it!

Something I totally forgot to do last week when this would have been, y’know… relevant – was post a link to www.iisageek.com. It’s a great new web comic resource that keys the audience in to the “behind-the-scenes” aspect of making comics.
Theater Hopper was the featured strip last week and I totally fell asleep on the job. But it’s not too late to check it out! Expect it to be added to the permanent links section soon!

I just wanted everyone to stop what they were doing and check out a great new web comic called Bug and Slug.
The site just launched this Saturday, but I can confirm with the utmost authority that I have NEVER seen a web comic look this good right out of the gate. You should do yourself a service and check it out. Need more prodding? It’s got aliens!
Bug and Slug is created by a very talented fellow named Tim Andress – an enthusiastic young lad I consider to be a friend of Theater Hopper. You should be his friend, too.

Well, I finally got off my keister and have launched the forum. I’m not sure how much fanfare I’ll surround the occasion with, opting rather to let it evolve organically. If you’d like to sign up, I encourage it. I think we’ll have a lot of fun with it.
It was totally a coincidence that Carrington was having trouble with his forum and decided to plug my efforts to bring a community to Theater Hopper – I swear to God!
But I appreciate the support none-the-less!
