Mitch from Nothing Nice to Say has announced that he is cutting back production on his strip from 3 times weekly to once each Monday for personal reasons. I am unbelievably bummed, but wish nothing but the best for Mitch and his emotional heath.
Here’s to Mitch Clem – a great talent much less deserving of the crap being flung his way. Chin up, man. And take care.

I wanted to get everyone’s attention and have them visit It’s All Been Done today. Not because their most recent strip was a subtle homage to Theater Hopper, but because Eric is closing things down and it looks like this week will be their last.
It’s always a shame when such a good comic ends so quickly. IABD had it all – great writing, great art, fleshed out characters from the word “Go” and one of the best site designs I’ve seen.
But Eric has decided to take a crack at syndication with another comic he’s putting together and I say “Good for him!” We all wish him the best.
Visit It’s All Been Done before it’s all been done.

Sorry, guys. But I just couldn’t wait to break out the new site design on ya!
Yep, so you may have noticed that some things have been shifted around. Really I was doing more pixel pushing than a flat-out redesign. But I felt there was so much space on the site going unused, I needed to rectify the situation.
Hopefully the site should load a little faster for everyone. I parsed down the background image and removed a lot of the includes that may have been slowing down some of the pages. The largest download you’re going to have is the most recent comic. Beyond that, things should be running much more smoothly. I think I’m already detecting a difference. Let me know if you guys encounter otherwise.
And while I mention it, if any of you notice something odd – a link that should or shouldn’t be, broken images, whatever – please contact me.
You’ll notice at the moment that two of the navigation links aren’t connected to anything – the store and the forum. Expect the store to be up later today. The forum will be down for the foreseeable future until I completely eliminate the bugs and can present to you a community hub that has all the bells and whistles I want on it.
Until then, wander around and check out the place. I feel like I did some major house cleaning – even if I didn’t go so far as to give the old war horse a new coat of paint…

Since I’ve been working on reorganizing the site, I wanted to take a minute or two to outline some of the new features and general changes that are going on around the site.
The first thing I want to mention is the forum. It’s up and running again and charging at full steam. It’s got a ton of great new features and new ones are being added all the time. We’ve got some great conversation going on in there right now, so please join!
I also want to talk about the newly created store. I never really took the time to chat this up, so I’m going to correct that now.

I promised you big news today, and by-gum, I’m gonna deliver!
I’m here to announce the VERY FIRST Theater Hopper t-shirts!
It’s been a long time coming for yours truly to start producing t-shirts. But after consulting with my many constituents in the forum, I decided the time was nigh to deliver. The demand is there! It was simply a matter of making the product available.
As you can see from the graphic on the right, the t-shirt features the one and only “Pimp Tom”. My forum homies had a real soft spot for this guy and I hope you do, too. The graphic is emblazoned boldly on the front while the Theater Hopper log and URL have found a righteous home on the left sleeve.
The shirts are 50/50 poly-cotton blend, black with white ink. Cost is a meager $15 dollars. They are printed with love and affection by the good people at Brunetto Shirts – the same individuals who’ve brought you quality clothing for web comics like Diesel Sweeties, Sam & Fuzzy, WIGU, Exploding Dog, Scary Go Round, Ctrl+Alt+Del, MacHall and many, many more!
Currently the shirts are on pre-order status through April 30th. That means, at the end of April, I will tally up all the orders we’ve received and submit them to Brunetto. They will then print up the shirts, mail them back to me, and I will ship them out sometime around the middle of May. Pre orders are the ONLY WAY TO GUARANTEE you will get a shirt.
I hope everyone is as excited about this as I am. Who knows? If the response is strong enough, I may just print up more shirts!
Thanks again for your support and continuing interest in Theater Hopper. I know I have some of the most awesome fans around. If I didn’t, I wouldn’t print up shirts for them. So THANK YOU!

Hey, guys.
Remember earlier in the year when I would put together some original artwork and raffle it off to a random, lucky person who either bought merchandise, advertising or donated to the site?
Well, I’ve fallen WAY behind!
I haven’t sent out the Constantine artwork from February and I haven’t even pulled together the list of names to pull from for the Robots piece I did in March.
Remember how I was going to color in all of them and make a big calendar at the end of the year? Yeah… still haven’t colored in the Robots piece yet…
Well, anyway. This aproach is changing. Instead of giving away the original art for free, I’m auctioning it off.
My reasoning for this is pretty simple. Basically, some of the artwork people have begged me to auction because they want to control their odds of getting it a little better than a raffle. Using the logic that everything is as valuable as what someone is willing to pay for it, I see the logic in their demands. Plus, it’s easier to keep track of.
This month, I think I have a real hum-dinger for you.
So you all know that Sin City came out the first week in April, right? I even did a week-long arc covering it. What better subject could there possibly be for me to parody than the Frank Miller classic?
That’s why I whipped this up:
Yeah, I thought you might like that.
If you click on the image, it will take you straight to the eBay auction I have set up. Or, of course, you could just click this link and get there just the same.
The rules are simple – by the end of Monday, April 18, the highest bidder wins. To sweeten the pot, I’m throwing in free Theater Hopper buttons and stickers. I’m also paying for First Class shipping, because that’s the kind of guy I am.
The previous’ months artwork will still be given away raffle-style for free. And once those names have been drawn, I will make an announcement to that effect.
But in the meantime, I will be running this message below the regular blog until the auction concludes Monday, April 18.
Incidentally, the profits from the sale of this original artwork will go toward the purchase of this silk screen press. My goal is to start producing Theater Hopper shirts that I can do myself instead of relying on outside vendors. Naturally, these shirts would be sold from this site. So if your a fan of Theater Hopper, bid generously because your money will help to advance the goals of this site.
Time to dig out the loose change from the couch cushions, kids. As always, thank you for your support! Happy bidding!
