   A $1.00 pledge sounds fine and dandy to me but.. isn’t there a PayPal option? Or am I missing it?

     Unfortunately, there is not a Paypal option. Kickstarter uses Amazon Payments. So, for your pledge to count toward the Kickstarter project goal, it has to be submitted through them.
