Hey bro, sorry to hear about the ongoing hardships with employent. Thsi site may be a good place to at least get some sort of income until you get something more solid: http://www.elance.com/p/landing/provider.html
Hey, um, I didn’t think you’d do the whole “Beavis and Butthead” comic today. I figured someone would Tweet you out of it. But, even so, nothing like a good reference to bring back memories.
Wren, I totally agree with you on everything you said. The rant is a-okay in my book.
Lance, sorry no one got around to talking me out of today’s comic. But like I said, I’m not a 100% right now and just needed some filler.
And yes, Lauren, I still have a Hotmail account. Although, these days, I have it forwarded to my G-mail account. It’s just easier to keep the Hotmail one around so I don’t have to go through the hassle of losing contact with people.
Sorry, comic is great and good luck with the new biz, but I am going to rant on the whole Beavis & Butthead/Kids setting fire to their houses situation.
One of the worst incidents was in my beloved town: Dayton, Ohio. Several children under ten perished in a mobile home fire that one of the kids started with a lighter. The kid’s mother blamed Beavis & Butthead because her child that loved to watch the show and started the fire kept saying ‘Fire, he he, Fire’ like Butthead. What actually transpired was bad parenting pure and simple and the mother should have been brought up on neglect charges. She left her kids alone and that is when the fire started. There was actually a video of her running from a neighbor’s house in the middle of the afternoon, which she was visiting at the time, toward her burning home yelling “My kids are in there!” Also, I could never understand how kids under ten were watching the show because at the time of the fire, Mtv only aired it after 9 PM and it was clearly geared for teens/adults. Why were such young children up that late watching a teen/adult oriented show? Again poor parental judgement. I just have a real problem when the parents try to blame a tragedy that they cleary contributed to on everyone/everything but themselves! Beavis and Butthead were never the same after that…
a) Am I the only one who was put off by Beavis’ voice change? It was subtle but…
b) Hey, Tom, any idea what rates your thinking about charging? I’m in the need for a small logo for one site, and a bigger, more versatile logo for a different site…. =)
Hey, as much as LOVE your comic (and I do) I understand unemployment woes. Being a native Iowan myself, I also understand jobs aren’t easy to come by there. So, hey, take the time off and good luck on your job search.
Hi guys, I liked Beavis and Butthead back in the day and I thought the movie was pretty good too. This clip was OK, nothing like a little melancholy… but Extract I’m not so sure about. A part of me wants to go, but a part of me hears alarm bells. Hey check out my animation: it’s not Beavis/Butthead quality, but it is funny (i hope). http://www.aniboom.com/competitions/Fox/393597/Jolly-Holly/
No, John, you are not alone in your a) point. I thought it was just me and my slowly deteriorating
memory. The voice has definitely changed and not for the better. Maybe Mike Judge forgot how
to do it or else he is getting to an age where he can’t do it properly.
@chuckers Butthead sounded all right, at least. Beavis’ voice is definitely pretty grating on the voicebox, so I wouldn’t be surprised that a now almost 50 year old Mike Judge can’t hit the same screech.

People still have hotmail accounts? How quaint!

The clip was pretty funny – good job Mike Judge! And I’m not even a big B&B fan…

is it just me or did Beavis’s voice sound off in the clip.
