So Warner Bros. released the first full trailer for The Hangover 2 and… I think it looks terrible. Watch for yourself.
Seriously, it’s like the exact same movie, except it’s in Bangkok. Tattoo = tooth, monkey = baby and there’s another missing person that Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and Zack Galafinakis have to find.
Hey, I loved Ken Jeong’s Mr. Chow in the first Hangover as much as the next guy. But does it make A LICK of sense that he would be in Bangkok for the sequel?
Incidentally, if I were Justin Bartha, I’d be pissed. He’s not the one missing this time, but he’s still relegated to the sidelines.
Between this trailer and Due Date being pretty much a straight rip-off of Planes, Trains and Automobiles, I am seriously concerned that director Todd Phillips has run out of gas creatively.

I won’t lie. It’s the same movie. There’s no denying it. Did I still laugh at the trailer? Yes. Yes I did.
I loved the first one. Even my wife liked it (which is a diamond in the rough sort of thing for these kinds of movies) but Due Date was terrible. And not just because it was a rip off…
I will say this though… after all the crap you gave everyone about ripping on friggin’ Cars 2… this one should look like a masterpiece too. Just sayin.
Now be fair. Does Cars 2 look remotely similar to the first movie?
Yeah, the globetrotting spy thing is kind of derivative, but at least they’re advancing the plot and not doing a retread (no pun).
Chow is Zack Galafinakis’ plus 1
I know that this movies would be an almost exact replica of the first one, it may not be original but judging by the trailer it at least would be funny.
I really don’t know how to feel about this one. I really liked The Hangover, and I enjoyed that it was a successful comedy with an original idea (well kind of, Dude Where’s My Car had a similar premise but wildly different execution.) That being said, the sequel does not look like it has an original bone in its body, even to the point where I’m pretty sure that Ken Jeong is naked in the above trailer. It could be good, but I don’t expect it to be.
The trailer is pretty funny. Would love to see Part 2. And get a little taste of Bangkok… ETF Trend Trading
Yep, looks like a crappy waste of time.
