Why is it so BORING? They could have done an incredible action shot, but now it’s like “So, hey guys…what do you want to now?” “I don’t know, I guess we could WAIT, DID YOU HEAR THAT?”
It looks interesting, but as soon as I saw this, I thought of the poster for Watchmen. Is Hollywood out of poster design ideas now too?
This poster sucks. It’s an obvious photoshop composite. It makes Black Widow look downright TINY!! Scale and perspective? NAH!
And with the explosions going on behind them, not one of them is paying attention to that action, but in various other directions, half ready for, or in the middle of some action, the other half posing for GQ (or in Black Widow’s case Maxim).

I agree with you on Black Widow. She sticks out like a sore thumb. And not in a good way.
Yeah. I don’t know why they put Iron Man in the front. He’s already had two movies. People are going to recognize him no matter where they put him. At least they managed to put Captain America’s shield there, though. That’s the most recognizable thing.
I’ll be surprised if the people who aren’t obsessed with Avengers recognize either who Jeremy Renner is or what movie they saw him in before.
This looks like a terrible, terrible photoshop. This would be downvoted in a photoshop contest but this is a professional poster from a major movie studio? They’re barely trying!
Crappy poster aside I’m hyped for the movie
Iron Man is front and center because RDJ is the biggest name in the flick. It’s a money grab.

You’ll notice that Black Widow is just standing in a standard “Bad Ass” pose, and Iron Man gets the spine twisting butt-and-chest-at-the-same-time pose.
Doesn’t change the fact that it is horribly put together, and looks, like others have said, like a bad photoshop contest entry…
I’m not sure if this was the driving force for the new poster, but in the UK they’ve renamed the film…. To Avengers Assemble.
That was released yesterday, along with the same poster with the new name attached. I’m not sure I’m that keen on the name change though.
Anyway, I’ll still be there on the 26th of April on opening day.
April 26th? You get it on April 26th?!
Oh yeah. In fact, if the theaters open at midnight on the 26th, it’ll still be the 25th over there.
I’ll stop being so smug now (:P)
