I am sooooooo excited for MacGruber (I’m leaving this afternoon to see it). When they announced last year that they were making the hilarious sketch into a full length feature I flipped out. I’m a die hard SNL fan and MacGruber is one of my favorite character (well all of Will Forte’s characters are brilliant). I know people had doubts about turning a sketch like this which is two minutes long and ends with him blowing up and turn it into a movie but hey, if they can turn the Night at the Roxbury sketch (2 guys bobbing there head and dancing badly) into a movie, they can do anything. I’m crossing my fingers for a Vincent Price Special movie next :p
Just so you know, Tom, even us Furries thought Furry Vengeance looked terrible.
Everyone seems to be excited for MacGruber, but I can’t quite get into it. It just looks a bit too stupid for me. Still, knowing me I’ll end up seeing it sooner or later. I’m just not going to go opening week for this one.
Ya know, MacGruber is great in small doses but I can’t imagine being able to fill a feature length movie with enough content based on the sketches.
