You guys know that I think you’re cool, right? Well, I do. And it’s time to start showing a little bit of that love.
Over on the reviews page, you’ll notice that I’ve posted not one but TWO movie reviews for your reading pleasure.
Just click the link and find out just how SEVERELY I hated American Wedding and The League of Extraordinary Gentelmen.
You’re so cool…

I think a cast page would be supercool!
I’m really just posting to see if I have a new Avatar, but while I’m at it I’ll give you a quick movie update.
My Boss’s Daughter “2” Avoid Avoid Avoid!
City of God (Cidade de Deus) “4” Excellent! Like Goodfellas without any R.E.S.P.E.C.T.
Woodstock: 3 Days of Peace and Music “4” Important time capsule.
Matchstick Men “3” Good film, the first time at least.
Open Water “3” The trailer is better.
Powaqqasti “3” Movies without dialogue? Cool. I like the first one better though.
Les Vampires “3” 399 minute silent French film = summer project.
Highlander 3: The Final Dimension “3” Gains points for ignoring Highlander 2, loses points for not being Highlander 1. Mario Van Stupid Voice sucked.
Tierra (Earth) “3” Arty. Spanish. Too long.
Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry met Lloyd “3” I expected this to be a “1.” Eric Christian Olsen played Lloyd well.
Empire “3” Normal drug dealer/con movie. Enjoyable but predictable.
Sniper 2 “3” Don’t go out of your way.
Out of Time “3” Should this be a “2”? A few good moments saved (almost) this predictable piece of Hollywood fluff.
Runaway Jury “4” See this.
All the President’s Men “4” 70’s movies rule.
Starsky & Hutch “3” Modern versions of 70’s TV shows rule not so much. See it for the Dragon bit.
That’s all for now. Happy Thursday.

I have a quick question for anyone in the know.
I am trying to establish contact with either representatives of Hollywood studios or PR firms that deal with the promotion of upcoming films and DVDs. My hope is to establish more movie-centric content to you guys in regards to movie and DVD reviews while fostering a promotional relationship that might yeild something in terms of prizes for contests for you guys. It’s a win-win situation. I run contests where you guys win cool stuff and the studios and PR firms are provided a unique avenue through while their projects are being promoted on a web site with monthly unique visits in the hundreds of thousands.
It’s very difficult to get in touch with these firms. Believe it or not, their numbers aren’t in the phone book. So I am approaching this somewhat unconventionally, announcing my attention in hopes of poppping up on their radar screens.
If you are employed by one of these firms or know someone who is, please contact me at theaterhopper@hotmail.com
Many thanks.

Hey, guys. I hope you liked the first formal, main page review for the site for Spider-Man 3. I still kind of have my training wheels on, so hopefully it’s not too out of place.
If you guys are at all interested in reading more reviews, be sure to check out my recent concert review of Stone Sour that I did for The Des Moines Register. They posted it on their web site yesterday and readers have already left a few comments.
It was a good show. I was really surprised by how much I enjoyed their music. I guess it’s just not cool for a hipster like myself to admit I like Stone Sour now. But what can I say? I appreciate their lack of irony. It’s just straight to the gut rock. Nothin’ wrong with that.
Be sure to tune in to The Triple Feature talkcast tonight at 9:00 PM CST over at Talkshoe. Gordon, Joe and I will be discussing Spider-Man 3 for the full hour and taking your calls. If you’re a hard-core comic book nerd like me, I’m sure you have opinions. So don’t be afraid to call in and voice ’em!
Oh, and one more thing: I’m staying home from work this week to spend time with Cami and Henry before Cami’s maternity leave is up. If I have some free time, I have an idea for an extra strip related to Spider-Man 3 that I’d like to put together this week while it’s still timely. You’ll still get the Wednesday strip. I’m just giving you the head’s up there might be a little bonus comic action coming soon! Check the site again on Tuesday!
