I posted the red band trailer for Funny People on Wednesday and informally polled people if they were interested in seeing more of the promotional communication sent my way by the studios. I’ve been reluctant to post them partially because of the time commitment but largely because I assumed you guys were getting this information elsewhere.
I was surprised by how many of you said that Theater Hopper was the only site you go to for movie news. Which is… really flattering. Actually, it makes me feel like I’ve been lying down on the job!
So, until people tell me otherwise, I’m going to keep floating stuff your way. And, at the risk of looking like a complete hypocrite, here’s some stuff for Bruno. Which, as you know, is in theaters today, Friday, July 10.

Right before I went to Chicago Comic Con, I put together a media kit I hoped to hand out to any media representatives wandering down Artist Alley. It’s not the most proactive strategy, but when I do these shows, I’m petrified to leave my table lest I miss a sale.
That’s why I’ve decided to step up my game a little bit and send my information directly to the powers that be.
That’s where you come in.
In the past, I could get by through networking inside the web comic community. But after 7 years in the game, I kind of feel like that well has tapped out. So now I’m branching out and looking to expose movie fans to my work and not just web comic fans. I want to send my media kit to some movie blogs in hopes of getting a little coverage.
I have a handful of blogs in mind. Some of the big guns and some of the mid-level guys. But I want to hear from you. What are the movie blogs you read? What are some of the movie blogs you’ve heard of?
Leave your suggestions in the comments below. I’m going to gather up all the contact information and run a media blitz. Hopefully, it will attract new readers to Theater Hopper. People who would have otherwise never found us.
Thanks again for your help! I appreciate it!

As part of a promotional effort for X-Men: First Class, 20th Century Fox is making available the cast and filmmakers of the movie to answer questions submitted by fans on Facebook and Twitter.
The campaign officially kicks off on Tuesday, March 1 and fans can direct questions on Twitter to @XMenMovies or post them on the film’s Facebook wall at Facebook.com/XMenMovies
Done right, this could be an excellent opportunity to show a little transparency and resolve any skepticism among fans about the franchise’s odd, continuity adverse direction. Done wrong, this could be another shallow, micro-managed and insincere publicity game that ignores the concerns long-time fans have about the silver screen versions of their favorite characters.
If you were to pose a question to the cast and filmmakers of X-Men: First Class, what would it be?
