There’s so much I want to say about this trailer. But if you haven’t seen it yet, I don’t want to be the guy that ruins it for you.
Sit back, relax, watch the trailer and then wonder silently why Hollywood hadn’t gotten around to making a movie like this sooner.
Leave your comments below because I DESPERATELY want to talk about this trailer with someone! SPOILERS AHEAD!
Apparently, there is a Hidden hidden in the “Green with Envy” Poster…it’s supposedly right over Amy Adams head
wow…that should say (Main Character of movie shown above)
I am aware and REALLY want to do a blog post about exactly that.
I think Disney is handling the marketing for this perfectly. They’re clearly having a lot of fun with this!
WAKA WAKA!
(I find it really irritating by the way that the website wouldn’t let me put just that in the comment field. It said it was too short.)
I don’t see the hidden thing about Amy Adams head. Am I dying?

That is pretty clever. Is the marketing for this movie a result of Pixar’s influence at Disney?
Sorry I spoiled it for you yesterday =/
I had it figured out pretty quickly because I hadn’t heard about any other Jason Segel/Amy Adams movies in production. The cast of this movie is simply incredible. If you go to the Wikipedia entry for the film they have a full list of cameos. It is huge.
That was GREEEAAAAT. I started watching it and I was like, Well, at least it’s got Jason Segel in it… why’s there a car in the classroom… Then… So what’s so special about this… OH!
It’s perfect.
That makes me feel good that I didn’t ruin it for you.
The circles I run in are lit up over this trailer. Sometimes it’s hard not to get ahead of myself!
Thanks for not ruining it Tom. That was perfect!
This trailer is AWESOME!!!! My hope is that the movie lives up to it. A while ago I heard it might be an R rated flick. Do we have any information on that? I’d be against it, based on this trailer.
What perfect casting… I can’t think of any sweeter, more fitting actors for that movie than Jason Segel and Amy Adams. 🙂
So… am I the only one who doesn’t care about Muppet movies? Or, maybe the better question is, should I care about a Muppet movie? Really?
It might be a generational thing.
I’m noticing more people who were kids in the 70’s and 80’s being more excited about this new movie than younger people seem to be.
I don’t know about that. I was born in the late 80s, and my friends and I are super stoked.
Maybe. I was born in ’80, never watched anything related to the muppets growing up. Then again, I only watched french TV shows until I was like 12-13, so that might explain it. But still, I can’t think of many, if any, TV shows from my youth that I’d want to watch as a movie now that I’m an adult. Well, other than cool stuff like the Transformers, G.I. Joe, etc. But strictly kids stuff like the muppets, care bears and whatnot, yeah… no thanks. I’ll get into that when my daughter gets a bit older, but for now, that’s okay, I’ll pass.
I think you have the wrong impression of The Muppets. Jim Henson was actually much more subversive than you might realize. Try to find some of his old Ed Sullivan stuff. It’s pretty twisted.
Or, better yet, Google “Puppet Up.” It features Brian Henson and several of the Muppeteers who works on several Henson properties (including Sesame Street) performing some of the raunchiest improv with puppets you’ve ever seen.
Alright, maybe I should give this movie a shot then.
When I first saw the trailer I thought it was another cliched Hollywood romantic comedy until the Muppets showed up.
Wow. I had heard tell of a new Muppet movie coming out. I just never thought it would be submersive like this. I kept staring at the poster, wondering why the emphasis on green- coloring words green and everything- and yet I had no clue.
So excited for this one, and yet… my kids could care less. I know I’ve done them due diligince by enforcing a standard on what movies I expect they should have seen by now (things like Ghostbusters, the Jaws movies, and other “classics” from when I was a kid), but I was unable to instill in them a love for the Muppets. Could this truly be the first kid-flick me and my husband go to see alone??
