Oh, and before my mailbox fills up with e-mails on the subject, I’m already keenly aware of the first official photo to emerge from the set of Iron Man 2. If you haven’t seen it, here it is:
You’ve got to hand it to Paramount releasing this image on the same day Fox is going to theaters with X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Way to undercut ’em, boys.
Man, waiting another year for this movie is going to be torture.
I love ya Tom but does a picture of Tony Stark standing in his lab really undercut anything? Where’s the link to the District 9 teaser or the Transformers 2 trailer. That’s some serious undercutting. š
If anything, the Transformers 2 trailer HELPS Wolverine. People know the trailer is in front of the film. They’re going to want to see it on the big screen.
So, okay… one Iron Man photo doesn’t really “undercut” X-Men Origins: Wolverine, but I can’t help but think it was somewhat intentional on Paramount’s part to release it today.
I mean, Wolverine vs. District 9 is apples and oranges. Wolverine and Iron Man are both highly visible superhero franchises.
Considering the bad buzz Wolverine has endured up to this point, I can’t help but indulge myself in the fantasy that Paramount is showing Fox exactly how good buzz is achieved.
But there’s a box on his desk. And it’s open. And this film stars Gwyneth Paltrow. What’s in the box!
Wow, this brings to mind an interesting point. If i had to choose between wolverine and tony stark, I….I dont know which i’d choose O__O
