I was telling a friend over e-mail that I was happy the fall was here and that I was looking forward to seeing more “adult” movies like Mystic River and Runaway Jury. But as it turns out, I’ll probably end up seeing Scary Movie 3 instead.
Is this such a bad thing? Well, if there was a Wayans anywhere near it, yes. I saw the first movie and thought it was okay but there were too many cheap jokes about gay people and certain parts of the male anatomy. I just find that kind of humor mean and unintelligent. There were maybe only one or two jokes I laughed at in the whole thing. Frankly, I remember very little of it. I downloaded it from my brain immediately upon exiting the theater.
The bad taste left in my mouth from the first film convinced me not to see the second. This, despite the appearance of Andy Richter, Chris Elliott and David Cross – some of my favorite comedians (even if only appearing in cameos). Maybe I’ll rent it just to make sure avoiding it was a good decision. Wait… What?

Nope! No way! If it's got a Wayans in it, I want nothing to do with it!
Marlon! Keenan! Damon! Shawn! They all have their hands in each other's projects! I can't keep them straight except for one thing!
None of them are funny!
Actually, the Wayans have nothing to do with this one. David Zucker directed it. You know, the same guy who made Airplane, Top Secret and the Naked Gun movies?
You mean... there's... HOPE?!
Quickly, Jared! TO THE MULTI-PLEX!
